Who we help
A wide range of people benefit from our work.
(i) In the UK:
- homeless people are provided with warm clothing to help them brave the cold weather
- disadvantaged children receive books and stationery to improve their literacy
- children in need benefit from toys and quality clothing, items unaffordable to them and their families
- women fleeing domestic violence are helped to rebuild their lives
- disaffected young people are gifted refurbished computers to help them to study in their own homes and improve future employability.
(ii) Overseas:
- communities with few medical facilities are provided with life saving medical aid
- we have given specially-adapted tricycles to enable disabled children to become more mobile, independent and self-reliant
- worked extensively with local agencies helping victims of the 2004 tsunami rebuild their lives and livelihoods.
